Angst + Pfister

Smartec B.V. was founded in 1987 on the basis of a laboratory concept. A temperature sensor with a digital output was developed at Delft University of Technology (TUD) in the Netherlands.

The sensor, which does not require calibration, has proven to be more accurate and more stable than any other digital temperature sensor on the market. Through research and development, Smartec’s product range has subsequently been expanded to include IR sensors, humidity sensors and pressure sensors. In addition, the company supplies software and complete sensor solutions for rapid evaluation and easy and efficient integration into your application.

In early 2022, after a collaboration lasting more than 30 years, the owners of Smartec B.V. and Angst+Pfister agreed on the takeover of Smartec B.V.’s operations, including the design, manufacture and sale of temperature, pressure and humidity sensors.

Angst+Pfister Sensors and Power is 100% owned by the Angst+Pfister Group and is a privately owned, Switzerland-based company. They offer innovative and competitive sensor and power solutions worldwide. They supply standard products, modified standard products and customised solutions.

Smartec’s products live on as before, although in a larger organisation with more opportunities. For you as a customer, this means additional innovative solutions at an attractive price, based in Europe.
