Founded in 1931, Nippon Chemi-Con was the first manufacturer of capacitors in Japan and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TYO). The company employs more than 7,000 people across 22 production sites in 7 different countries.

Nippon Chemi-Con’s local transport hubs were previously called Europe Chemi-Con for the EU and United Chemi-Con for North America, but in 2023 the name was changed to Nippon Chemi-Con for the entire organisation with a common new logo.
