Processing of personal data for customers

This information notice explains how OEM Electronics AB processes your personal data and what rights you have. The information is intended for you as a customer of ours.

Your privacy is important to us. We are therefore committed to ensuring that the personal data collected about you is stored and handled in a secure manner and in accordance with data protection legislation. If you have any questions about how your personal data is handled, you are welcome to contact us.

When ordering products, the person placing the order is registered as a customer with OEM Electronics AB. The customer register contains the contact details provided by the customer and information about the order. The personal data is used for administration of services/deliveries, information, marketing of OEM Electronics AB’s products and services, profiling (i.e. analysis of the customer in order to communicate in the best possible way), as well as for certain statistics, evaluation, and quality assurance activities. It is not possible to be a customer of OEM Electronics AB without accepting this processing of personal data.

Customer data may be processed by a so-called data processor that assists the company in its communication with customers. This data processor will only process the data in accordance with the purposes for which the customer’s personal data was collected.

OEM Electronics AB will retain the customer’s data for as long as the customer remains a customer of the company, and for an additional 36 months for the purposes stated above. After that, the data will be retained as required by various legal obligations, such as the Accounting Act. Once this period has passed, the customer’s personal data will be deleted.

The processing of the customer’s personal data in OEM Electronics AB’s customer database is based on the purchase agreement, legal obligations, and legitimate interest. With regard to legitimate interest, the company uses the customer’s data, for example, to tailor its communication with the customer based on the customer’s purchases.

OEM Electronics AB is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data. The customer has the right to receive, free of charge, information about what personal data concerning them is held by the company.
