With DynaForce, we are presenting a new technology for keypads. This technology allows you to achieve a robust keyboard that can be used in extreme environments, without affecting the design.
The technology is based on a sensitive force sensor that interacts with a finger, for example. When you press the surface, an impulse occurs in the force sensor, which then sends a signal and the button is activated. The force sensor is unique in keypad technology, and is a solution that can cope with high stresses.
The DynaForce technology works perfectly through a range of materials measuring up to 2 mm in thickness. It allows you as a customer to place a keypad on the inside of a closed cover, for example, making your product completely waterproof. Examples of materials the keypad can be placed behind include glass, stainless steel, plastic, aluminium or wood. Thanks to the robust, thick surface materials that we can apply in front of our touch sensors, the technology is vandal-proof.
With mechanical touch, button activation is equally sensitive with or without gloves. There is great flexibility when it comes to button layout, as you only need to consider the minimum possible distance. We offer feedback in the form of light, sound or vibration, including from mute touch buttons.
We can supply DynaForce in two different segments:
1. Turnkey solution – We can make a turnkey solution with a customised circuit board, with the desired number of buttons and functions behind an overlay made of any material. You then simply attach the keyboard to your application using adhesive.
2. PCBA – Many of our customers already have a closed cover. In such cases, we can supply a customised circuit board as a peel-and-stick solution, where the customer can easily apply the buttons behind their encapsulated product.
Suitable industries and product groups
Above are a selection of potential customer segments where our technology is both proven and sustainable.
Our DynaForce technology is perfectly suited when it comes to products where design, a harsh climate and public exposure are important factors to consider.
