Elastosil S – developed on Earth for use in space.
Materials used in satellite construction must permanently resist vacuum, ionising radiation and extreme temperature fluctuations.
All products in the Elastosil S range have been developed in close cooperation with major aerospace companies. In this way, Wacker is able to ensure that the products always meet even very stringent ESA/NASA standards as regards material properties, usability and durability.
The raw materials receive special treatment to ensure a very low content of volatile materials. The products are certified according to ASTM E 595 and NASA ESA PSS - 014-702. Each batch is tested in an accredited lab.
