In applications that are exposed to vibrations/shocks, mechanical reinforcement on the PCB, support bonding, may be required to protect the solder joints from cracking and causing breakages.
Wacker’s one-component silicones are ideal for a wide range of bonding needs, such as support bonding of large components and loose cables or for gaskets and seals.
As an alternative, we also have a range of silicone-free MS polymers from Henkel Loctite. Some of the adhesives are available in twin packs for convenient use.
Structural adhesive
Structural bonding and sealing deliver superior joint strength, durability and reliability, and are suitable for a wide range of materials and applications. Structural adhesives can be made of epoxy, acrylic, silicone, silane-modified polymers or polyurethane.
