Printed electronics enable high volume, high throughput and cost-effective manufacturing. Many products rely on printed electronics for their function, form and flexibility.

As with most electronics today, the majority of applications that use printed electronics are becoming smaller and more complex. Our supplier Henkel’s ability to develop inks that meet the demands for fineline printing, while retaining strong conductivity and other functional properties, makes them a technological leader in the field. There are also conductive inks that are elastic as well as non-conductive inks that are mixed with conductive ink to achieve the correct resistance. Furthermore, there are dielectric inks that are used as insulation between different layers of conductive paths and as a protective coating over them.

Henkel leads the way when it comes to specialised and cross-functional ink formulations for printed electronics, and these are used in several markets for e.g. printed PTC heaters, sensors, RFID products and EMI/EMC protection.

With its extensive portfolio of printable inks, Henkel ensures that today’s medical solutions, such as medical electrodes and bio-sensing, are both reliable and effective. Printed electronics are also used in IoT, home comforts, furniture, handheld connectivity and automotive applications such as seat belt pressure sensors.

The coatings can be applied via screen printing, flexography and rotogravure, and can be used on both flexible and rigid materials as well as on curved surfaces. The ink can be cured thermally or via UV radiation for some types, providing a wide range of processing and design options.

We are the official distributor of Henkel Electronic Materials’ complete range of conductive inks and surface coatings, including silver conductive, carbon conductive, dielectric inks and a variety of speciality coatings and compounds.
