If you are going to perform soldering on a PCB that has multiple layers, the board may need to be preheated before you start the soldering or reworking process. By changing the temperature slowly, your reduce the risk of thermal shock and the formation of cracks in the board, for example. Using a preheater allows you to maintain the selected temperature setting without damaging the components during reworking.
We have preheaters for reworking for all sizes of PCB. To ensure that no components are damaged, our pre-heaters have different heating surfaces, depending on the need for temperature accuracy and control. Temperature setting and heating rate can be controlled without exceeding the recommended limit levels in each application. Using JBC’s software, the preheater can be synchronised with JBC’s hot air and soldering stations.
