A capillary thermostat is a mechanical control component. Its task is to optimise the temperature within a preset temperature range. The thermostat utilises the expansion and contraction of liquid to open or close a circuit.
The advantage of this type is the potential to regulate the temperature from the panel, yet still be able to measure directly on the heat source, which is often difficult to access, with the aid of the capillary tube.
