Sustainability Policy OEM Electronics AB

OEM Electronics shall be the leading player in the trade of electronic components for machine and equipment manufacturers in Northern Europe. We possess a level of knowledge and solutions that exceed our customers’ needs with the support of manufacturers and employees who are given the opportunity to realize their own ambitions. Our objective is for sustainability to permeate all our processes and routines, where conscious choices are made based on knowledge. Our certifications ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 form the foundation of our management system, which helps us monitor and measure how we meet both legal requirements and our customers’ demands and expectations. Through these certifications, we also work with continuous improvements regarding the prevention and reduction of environmental impact, how we can contribute positively to society, and ensuring that the policy is implemented and communicated throughout the organization. We continuously strive to improve our position in sustainability, with a foundation of always complying with applicable legislation. The focus of our sustainability work is to create economic stability through profitable growth, reduce negative environmental impact, increase the knowledge levels of our suppliers, and be an attractive and equal workplace. To visualize and structure this work, we have divided it into three categories: Product, People, and Planet. Our Sustainability Policy is complemented by our Code of Conduct, which is based on the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact.

Our responsibility is to promote sustainable choices to the greatest extent possible, with a life cycle perspective as the starting point. Our technical expertise plays a central role in this, and in order to influence the choices that are made, we work systematically with various initiatives aimed at our customers and suppliers, with the ambition to:

People

We want to be an attractive workplace driven by our core values of Balance, Openness, and Development. All employees shall be offered opportunities to develop in an environment characterized by business acumen, equality, trust, and commitment. We also want to take responsibility for our suppliers’ employees and ensure that they are treated in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Global Compact. To ensure this in the long term, we work with several activities and objectives such as:

• Recruitment of new employees through our trainee program
• Recruitment initiatives to increase the proportion of female employees in sales and product management roles
• Presence at local upper secondary schools and universities
• Supporting local sports events and youth-oriented associations

Planet

Global warming and the overconsumption of natural resources are among the most important challenges of our time. We clearly recognize our role in this and have therefore established ambitious objectives to reduce our climate impact, both through carbon dioxide emissions and the consumption of disposable products. Our targets are aligned with the Paris Agreement, and achieving them over time requires efforts throughout the entire supply chain, from raw material extraction to the management of our products at the end of their life cycle, as well as improvements to our own properties and their energy efficiency. Freight transportation, with its associated air emissions, is one of our major impact areas, and we work together with our transport providers to reduce environmental impact. Our sustainability focus today is intended to create a better future and includes activities and objectives such as:

• Reducing our CO₂ emissions by 50% from 2020 to 2030
• Measuring and monitoring our CO₂ emissions monthly in accordance with the GHG Protocol
• All transportation is carried out by sea whenever possible
• Purchasing Sustainable Marine Fuel (SMF) for all sea freight shipments
• Purchasing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for 75% of our business air travel
• Installation of solar panels on all properties in Tranås
• Waste sorting of all waste generated in our own operations
• A company car fleet that is completely fossil-free before 2030
• Internal training initiatives and company activities to increase employees’ understanding and knowledge of sustainability
