A bimetallic thermostat is a small, handy temperature monitor. The basic principle for this type of thermostat is to utilise the sensitivity of different metals to differences in temperature. The metal expands when the temperature rises and contracts when it cools. Depending on the specific thermostat being used, this gives rise to a movement which in turn opens or closes an electrical circuit.
Bimetallic thermostats are available in a large number of versions, with both fixed and adjustable temperature. Contact us for more information!
