Thermoelectric Peltier coolers are compact cooling modules with a reliable semiconductor construction, providing significant benefits compared to conventional cooling systems. They require no coolant and are therefore suitable for mobile applications. In addition, they are much more compact in size and have a hot and a cold side. Peltier coolers are not only used to cool electronic components in enclosures, but are also suitable for food transportation or food heating systems.
Potential for customisation on request.
Mobile cooling
Compared to conventional cooling systems, such as compressor coolers, Peltier coolers require no refrigerant or liquid and are therefore ready for immediate operation. They are mobile and can be installed in any mounting position.
Minimal maintenance
Peltier coolers have no mechanical moving parts, resulting in low wear and minimal maintenance. The durable modules can operate in the most adverse environmental conditions as they are not sensitive to vibrations, shocks, high ambient temperatures, polluted air and rapid accelerations.
Accurate temperature control
The temperature of the cooler is electrically adjustable and can be set very precisely. This is not possible with compressor cooling.
Reversible cooling effect
Due to the Peltier effect, the thermocooler can be used either as a heater or a cooler by simply reversing the direction of the current.
Cooling in small spaces
Peltier elements can be designed in different sizes, making them a flexible cooling solution even for the smallest components. They are suitable up to a maximum cooling capacity of 500 W and are used in applications exposed to acceleration or with limited installation space where compressor cooling systems would not fit.
DC operation
Peltier coolers can be powered by direct current.
