Ligna

Ligna Energy AB is a Swedish cleantech company that was founded in 2017 in Norrköping. Its goal is to develop sustainable and green energy storage solutions. Building on pioneering research undertaken by the Laboratory of Organic Electronics at Linköping University, the company uses renewable materials from forest resources to create safe and efficient energy storage systems

Ligna has been recognised for its innovations, and in 2021 was named as one of Sweden’s most promising climate innovations during COP26 in Glasgow. In 2023, Ligna Energy also received the Norrköping Tech Award for its technology, which combines technical innovation with positive societal impact.
